The Benny Bed is a low platform bed inspired by Swahili architecture, combining sculptural form with subtle detailing. Its carved base is softly lit with integrated LEDs, casting a warm, ambient glow, while the headboard features vidaka niches — traditional elements from Lamu interiors that once signified beauty and status. Created in honor of Benny, a yoga practitioner and collaborator on this project, the bed embodies grounding and rest, offering a modern heirloom that celebrates heritage and presence.
